Oddly enough I just met this American guy last night who was telling me that he felt the Thai people are terrible complainers, are very fake, and will only smile to your face. Obviously I have no idea whether or not this is true, and he's certainly the first person I've met who's expressed this opinion. What do you guys think? Was he just some bitter cynical guy?

Can't wait to hear about your cooking lessons! make sure you buy all the required spices etc to cook for us back here, yah?

Much love to you all - xx

The Thais are definitely not soft-spoken people (not the ones I know anyway) - that's a stereotype. And yes, they love a good laugh.

Sabaideemai?!
Looks like y'all having quite a lot of fun... just don't forget to come back yeah! ;)
Yeah most Thai peeps are really warm and open when they want to be and they are the first ones to laugh at themselves (which explains all the funny Thai ads out there...)

hiya, how about posting that panoramic photo instead?
and it'll be good if you can each append your names to your entries so we know whose point of view it is?

btw, how does Kao Soi taste?

cheers and happy travels,
